PASADENA, Calif.—A big-rig crash shut down a Southern California freeway and backed up morning commuter traffic for hours.

There were no injuries.

City News Service says a trucker hauling two trailers lost control on the rain-slickened westbound lanes of Interstate 210 and State Route 134 in Pasadena before 4 a.m. Monday.

Eastbound lanes were shut down until about 7 a.m.

It's unclear if light rain played a role in the crash.
