LOS ANGELES - Former Assemblyman Mike Feuer, who is running for city attorney, remained hospitalized today with non-life-threatening injuries that he suffered in an automobile accident.

Feuer, who is challenging incumbent Los Angeles City Attorney Carmen Trutanich, was driving to Jackie Lacey's swearing-in ceremony as Los Angeles County district attorney at the Galen Center at USC when his Prius was hit by a truck that ran a red light, according to Dave Jacobson of his campaign team.

"Mr. Feuer did not sustain any life-threatening injuries. However, he will stay in the hospital for the next few days," campaign chief strategist John Shallman said. "Mr. Feuer is expected to make a full and speedy recovery."
