Three men, one armed with a pistol, robbed a man at a Salinas gas station Monday night and took his car, police reported.

Police said the carjacking took place shortly after 9 p.m. at the Arco gas station, 646 Williams Road, when the 18-year-old victim was approached by three men, all wearing black hoodies and black pants, who ordered him out of his car, then got in and drove it away.

The victim walked home and called police, who said the car, a 1996 Ford Taurus, was found abandoned in front of Alisal High School, partially stripped and with fresh body damage.
