SAN ANTONIO HEIGHTS - The fifth annual San Antonio Heights Holiday Sing-Along will again be held Monday on Christmas Eve.

The songfest will begin at 8:30 p.m. on the front lawn of Fire Station 12, at Euclid Avenue and 24th Street.

The sing-along will wrap up a year-long series of events that celebrated the 125th anniversary of San Antonio Heights.

Among these were a history talk in the spring and a scarecrow festival during October.

As in the past, the Holiday Sing-Along will kick off with "Jingle Bells" and close with "Silent Night" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas." In between, there will be about two dozen other holiday favorites.

The event is free, and song sheets and refreshments are provided. Those who want to bring a guitar, portable keyboard, bells or other sounds of the season are welcome to do so. Singers also are encouraged to bring a chair if needed.
