LOS ANGELES—Sydnee Fipps scored 22 points, and Courtney French had 20 to lead UC Davis to a 78-69 win over Southern California in the Women of Troy Classic on Friday night.

Fipps was 6 of 9 from the field, and French scored 15 points from 3-point range.

Shinoda Blair scored 13 points, and Celia Marfone had 10 for the Aggies (3-4). Alyson Doherty had seven rebounds.

The Aggies led 34-31 at halftime. The Aggies shot 50 percent from the field for the game, while the Trojans shot 36 percent.

Ariya Cook scored 19 points for the Trojans (3-5). Brianna Barrett and Cassie Harberts had 10 points apiece. Barrett also had eight steals, seven assists. Christina Marinacci had seven rebounds.

USC coach Michael Cooper was suspended from the game because of an NCAA secondary violation involving the use of an ineligible player in practice. Associate head coach Daron Park oversaw the team.
