SCOTTS VALLEY - A 38-year-old Scotts Valley man was arrested Wednesday after police
found more than 500 marijuana plants and at least 4 pounds of
processed marijuana in his home.
Police received a tip about potential marijuana cultivation and sales on Sucinto Drive, said Scotts Valley police Lt. John Hohmann. Authorities obtained a search warrant.
About 4 p.m. Wednesday, officers searched the house and found the plants and processed marijuana, Hohmann said. George Linwood Adams III, drove up to his home about 5:10 p.m. during the police search.
Adams was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale, marijuana cultivation and driving with a suspended license, according to police.
He was held in Santa Cruz County Jail Friday in lieu of $10,000 bail,
according to jail records. He listed his occupation as a car salesman,
according to arrest records.
