SAN JOSE -- San Jose and Santa Clara County fire crews quickly extinguished a small blaze that broke out in a home on Violet Way near the Campbell border Friday night.

Fire officials said it was contained to one room and knocked down soon after crews were called to the single-story, single-family residence around 9:40 p.m. It was out in about 15 minutes, officials said.

Nobody was injured, and the cause remains under investigation, said San Jose fire Capt. Scott Ackemann.
