RESEDA -- A suspected drunk driver lost control of his car on Reseda Boulevard and hit a row of parked cars, fatally injuring a woman who was removing items from the trunk of one of the vehicles, officials said Wednesday.

Daniel Corner, 22, was northbound on Reseda Boulevard near Saticoy Street about 6 p.m. Monday when he lost control of his vehicle and veered across the roadway, smashing into two cars parked on the west side of the street, said Los Angeles Police Officer Jennifer Ward.

Hilary Ann Six, 56, suffered severe leg injuries when she was pinned between her Mini Cooper and another vehicle in the chain-reaction crash, Ward said. Six was transported to a local hospital, where she died about 4 p.m. Tuesday.
