Los Angeles County prosecutors on Wednesday charged 20-year-old Larry Darnell Bishop with one count of murder with the special circumstances of discharging a firearm from a vehicle and murder to further a criminal street gang. He is scheduled for arraignment Jan. 23.
The shooting killed 49-year-old Victor McClinton, who was a Sheriff's Department technician and a popular neighborhood athletics coach. Another victim, 24-year-old Damion Taylor, was injured in the shooting.
Bishop is also charged with attempted murder of the other driver, who was wounded, and other charges.
Twenty-year-old Gary Davis is charged as an accessory after the fact.
