Music, food, dance and much more will be part of the Asian American Expo taking place at Fairplex Saturday and Sunday.

The event is considered the largest Asian trade show in the United States, according to statement from Fairplex.

In addition to the trade show, the event also provides an opportunity to celebrate the approaching Lunar New Year, the Year of the Snake, which begins Feb. 10.

About 800 exhibitors are expected to take part in the Expo, the statement said.

Continuous entertainment will be offered at seven stages in and around exhibit halls 4, 5, 6 and 7.

Two food courts will also be part of the event.

Activities begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Fairplex, 1101 W. McKinley Ave.

Admission is $9 for adults; $7 for senior citizens and $7 for children ages 3 through 12.
