SANTA ANA, Calif.—An Orange County man is facing up to 14 years in prison for a drunken driving crash that killed one person and injured five others.

The Orange County Register ( http://bit.ly/145ythI) says 19-year-old Jesus Manzo-Torres of Tustin pleaded guilty Tuesday to vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence while intoxicated. He'll be sentenced next month.

Prosecutors say Manzo-Torres lost control of a Subaru Legacy that smashed into a tree near Irvine Lake in November 2011.

The crash killed his best friend, 18-year-old Jorge Cisneros.

Prosecutors say that an hour after the crash, Manzo-Torres had a blood-alcohol content of .15—nearly twice the legal limit.
