VALLEJO, Calif.—A Catholic high school in Vallejo is reeling from the firing of its football coach and the expulsion of five players following a hazing investigation.

Oakland television station KTVU reported Friday ( http://bit.ly/SOENb1) that St. Patrick-St. Vincent High School took the action because the varsity players allegedly exposed their genitals to harass six younger teammates.

School spokesman Kevin Eckery tells KTVU that St. Patrick-St. Vincent has a very strict policy prohibiting hazing and abusive behavior.

Principal Mary Ellen Ryan says the coach was not involved in the alleged harassment, but that he was held responsible because the players were supposed to be under his supervision when it took place last season.
