Volunteers are being recruited to serve on Santa Clara County's civil grand jury, which can inspect jails and juvenile detention facilities, audit records, review expenditures and investigate other activities by city and county government agencies and special school districts.

Applicants must be at least 18, United States citizens, and county residents. The one-year term starts June 20 and typically requires a time commitment of 20 to 25 hours per week.
