MONTEBELLO, Calif.—A woman has been stabbed to death in a Southern California home and detectives are hunting for a 51-year-old man.

Los Angeles County sheriff's investigators say 51-year-old Emelio Martinez is a person of interest.

There's no information on his relationship to the woman whose body was found in a Montebello home on Wednesday.

The woman's burgundy Dodge Stratus is missing.

City News Service says neighbors checking on the woman's welfare discovered her body.
