Ryan and Tina Gackstetter's baby daughter, Hope, was born on July 14 with a heart condition called "tricuspid valve atresia."
Before she was born, they learned that her right ventricle was completely sealed. Hope has already undergone several open heart surgeries.
The Gackstetters have received so many ofers of help, they have said that an "amazing act of love" would be to donate blood in Hope's name.
The blood drive is from noon to 5 p.m. at the parking lot of City Hall, 14000 City Center Drive.
Donors must be 17 years old, in good health and weigh 110 pounds.
Tina Gackstetter is a teacher at St. Margaret Mary Catholic School in Chino. Ryan and Tina Gackstetter are graduates of Ayala High School in Chino Hills, Class of 2002.
