A Burlington Northern Santa Fe train derailed in Rancho Cucamonga this morning.

The derailment was reported about 4 a.m. at Arrow Route near Milliken Avenue.

Three empty cars came off the tracks, but did not tip over, said Burlington Northern spokeswoman Lena Kent. There were no injuries and the derailment did not block freight or passenger trains in the area.
