Osvaldo Conde was the last of three former city officials sentenced in the federal case exposing widespread corruption in Cudahy, a tiny city 12 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Times ( http://lat.ms/15MIcv3) says Conde was sentenced on Monday to three years in federal prison, much less than the seven years recommended by prosecutors.
Former Mayor David Silva was sentenced last month to a year in prison. Former acting city manager and code enforcement chief Angel Perales was placed on five years' probation.
Prosecutors say the defendants, received bribes that were paid in exchange for supporting the opening of a pot dispensary.
