LIVE OAK -- A 29-year-old motorcyclist was arrested Saturday evening after a California Highway Patrol officer stopped him for talking on his cellphone and discovered cocaine and meth in his pockets.
About 6:25 p.m., a CHP officer spotted a man on a motorcycle near Clares Street and 41st Avenue, said CHP officer Bradley Sadek. The officer stopped Adrian Yanez-Garcia and found several small bags of cocaine and meth on him, the CHP said.
Yanez-Garcia, of Santa Cruz, was arrested on suspicion of drug possession for sale, drug possession and transportation of drugs, all felonies, according to the CHP.
Yanez-Garcia was transported to Santa Cruz County Jail and posted $5,000 bail on Sunday, authorities said.
