The Record Searchlight of Redding reports (http://bit.ly/XszgI1) that 39-year-old Quentin Ray Bealer entered the plea in a Tehama County courtroom on Tuesday.
Bealer turned himself in to police after authorities say surveillance video showed a man matching his description walking into the Red Bluff High School parking lot on Feb. 26.
Marysa Nichols, who attended a charter school on the high school campus, was reported missing that day. Her body was found in a nearby field two days later.
Police have said Bealer has acknowledged being in the video, but has denied any role in Nichols's death.
