Maria Luisa Peinado, a guard at Burrtec Industries, was identified as the fatally woman, according to the San Bernardino County coroner's website and police reports.
Peinado was reportedly trying to use a pry bar to put the large gate back on its track when it fell over crushing and killing her, police officials said.
Authorities received a 9-1-1 call just after 5 p.m. reporting a woman had been injured in the 5400 block of Industrial Parkway in a San Bernardino industrial complex near the 215 Freeway and Palm Avenue, according to reports.
Paramedics and police officers pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
The Burrtec Industries office was closed Sunday and unavailable for comment.
Saturday's death is the second in as many days where a Colton resident was killed in a work-related incident.
Abel Aldrete, 47, died Friday afternoon when he was struck by a slow-moving freight train in the BNSF rail yard at 1535 W. Fourth St., San Bernardino, according to the coroner's website.
