JURUPA VALLEY -- A Sikh temple in Riverside County has been targeted by a vandal who spray-painted the word "terrorist" on a surrounding wall.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise (http://bit.ly/13wYELu ) says the graffiti was scrawled on the temple wall in Jurupa Valley on Monday night.

Sikh leaders say it's hate speech and they've reported it to county sheriff's deputies.

Sikhs says their traditional turbans and long beards can make them targets for people who confuse them with Islamic extremists.
