The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning through 4 a.m. Tuesday for the San Gabriel Mountains, the Santa Monica Recreational Area and the Santa Clarita Valley. Some areas could see gusts topping out between 60 and 65 mph.
Forecasters say strong northeast winds will also be felt Monday and Tuesday in most of metropolitan Los Angeles, including the San Fernando Valley, along the coast and downtown.
The LA County valleys will see gusts between 40 and 50 mph.
After dipping into the 30s and even the 20s overnight, daytime temperatures aren't expected out of the low 60s for much of the region Monday.
A warming trend is expected to start Tuesday.
