CASTRO VALLEY -- One person was arrested Friday after Fremont police and SWAT team officers helped a task force serve a search warrant at a mobile home, police said.
The warrant was served around 11:30 a.m. at the Chetwood Mobile Home Park in the 3900 block Castro Valley Boulevard, Fremont police Lt. Sean Washington said. The agency's SWAT team provided support along with the Alameda County Sheriff's Office, while officers from a state and regional task force that deals with drugs and weapons served the warrant, Washington said.
Police, citing the need not to jeopardize an ongoing investigation, did not identify the person arrested or the specific charges, nor did they say what was taken during the search. But Washington did say that the warrant search involved "many weapons."
Nobody was injured during the search, and the person who was arrested surrendered without incident, police said.
