ALAMEDA — Police are searching for a man who robbed the Bank of America on Park Street Tuesday.

Two customers and five employees were inside the bank when the robbery occurred about 5:10 p.m. No one was hurt.

The suspect passed a note to a teller and fled outside with cash.

After the man exited the bank, he turned east onto Santa Clara Avenue, where an accomplice may have been waiting inside a getaway vehicle at the bank parking lot, Alameda police Sgt. Don Owyang said.

Witnesses described the suspect, who did not display a weapon, as a black man about 25 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 165 pounds. He was wearing a black Oakland Raiders baseball cap, a black button-down shirt and black jeans.

Police did not disclose how much money was stolen.
