Suspect held for auto burglaries: A Hayward man is being held at Marin County Jail on five counts of auto burglary after a rash of thefts Saturday around Mount Tamalpais, Stinson Beach and the Marin Headlands.

Eddie Elliot Lewis, 32, was booked Sunday morning on suspicion of auto burglary and was found to be in possession of wallets, purses and personal electronic items reported stolen from other vehicles.

Lewis is being held on $250,000 bail for the five counts of burglary and being in possession of stolen property.
