The Antioch Unified School District gained two new administrators Wednesday night.
The school board appointed Marsha Brown as the associate superintendent for K-12 education and Fal Asrani as the administrator for high school reform.
Brown comes from the Orange Unified School District in Southern California, where she last served as the assistant superintendent of K-12 educational services. She spent seven years directing special education at the Paramount Unified School District and 22 years in various positions in the Los Angeles County Office of Education.
Asrani most recently served as principal for four years at Corona Del Mar High School in the Newport-Mesa school district, during which time the school won the California Distinguished School Award. Before that, she was principal at La Mirada High School in the La Mirada-Norwalk school district.
Both high schools raised their standardized test scores during Asrani's tenure. She will complete her dissertation in May from the University of Southern California.
