CONCORD — Police arrested a group of men who attacked and robbed a couple walking on the street Wednesday night.
The man and woman were walking along Robin Lane near Meadow Lane about 9:35 p.m. when a car pulled up, four men got out and started hitting them, said Cpl. James Carroll.
One of the attackers took the man's wallet, and the group got back into the car and fled, Carroll said. Officers spotted the car a short time later and stopped it at Monument Boulevard and Detroit Avenue.
The car's five occupants, now including a driver, were arrested after the victims identified them as their attackers, Carroll said. One adult suspect, 18-year-old Cole Ford of Concord, was taken to County Jail in Martinez and four juvenile suspects were taken to Juvenile Hall.
Carroll said neither of the victims appear to have been seriously injured.
