WALNUT CREEK — Two men, one of them wielding a handgun, robbed a Pacific National Bank branch Thursday morning.
The two walked into a branch at 1910 Tice Valley Boulevard about 10:10 a.m. and demanded money, Walnut Creek police said.
They were given an undisclosed amount of money and then ran out of the bank and toward Rolling Hills Drive, police said. No one inside the bank was hurt.
Walnut Creek police searched the area with the assistance of a Pleasant Hill police dog and a California Highway Patrol helicopter but did not find them.
The armed robber was a black man in his mid-to-late 20s, 6 feet tall and weighing 165 pounds. He wore a dark hooded sweatshirt with a California Golden Bear on the front, dark-colored pants and a black handkerchief covering his face, police said.
The second robber was a black man in his mid-to-late 20s, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds. He wore a dark-colored camouflage hooded sweatshirt and a black handkerchief over his nose and mouth.
