OAKLAND — The arraignment of three family members accused of attempting to kill a 37-year-old Dublin man has been put off until Dec. 2.

A judge earlier this month found there was enough evidence to hold Rosa Hill, 34, and her parents Mei Li, 56, and Ping Li, 68, on attempted murder charges for their alleged roles in attacking Eric Hill, the estranged husband of Rosa Hill, on Jan. 7.

Rosa Hill has also been charged with the murder of Eric Hill's grandmother 91-year-old Selma Hill, who was found dead inside a trash can outside her Dublin home, where her grandson also lived. A custody dispute over Rosa Hill's and Eric Hill's daughter may have prompted the alleged attack.

Eric Hill said when he came home that night he found Rosa Hill and Mei Li upstairs. He said they attacked him. Ping Li was found waiting in car outside, not far from the Peppertree Road house. Ping Li told police he had driven her there and was waiting for his wife so they could return home together to Antioch.

Ping Li's court-appointed attorney Ted Berry told Judge Morris Jacobson that Ping Li also requested a hearing to remove Berry as his attorney. That hearing will also be taken up Dec. 2.
