ORINDA — Funds have been set up for the families of the two men injured, one fatally, in an electrical accident earlier this month.

Jose Herrera, 51, died Wednesday from his injuries. Eduardo Guerra, 30, is in serious condition at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose.

The two men, employees of a Santa Clara-based window washing company, were severely burned June 5 when their cherry picker came into contact with high-voltage power lines.

Officials with Contra Costa Certified Farmers' Markets, which runs the weekly market taking place when the accident occurred, contacted the hospital to set up the funds.

Donate by mailing a check made out to the VMC Foundation, referencing either the Jose Herrera Fund or the Eduardo Guerra Fund, to 2400 Moorpark Ave., Suite 207, San Jose, CA 95128. Donations can also be made over the phone by credit card by calling 408-885-5299. A social worker at the hospital will manage the fund and distribute the money to the families.
