OAKLAND — A women was killed and at least one other man injured during an early morning shooting Saturday that came moments after they left a party hosted by an East Oakland motorcycle club, police said.

Latasha Carter, 30, was found by police on the 8500 block of International Boulevard at about 12:15 a.m. after a patrol officer was flagged down by people in the area. Once stopped, a patrol officer found Carter and a 19-year-old San Leandro man who was also injured in the shooting.

Police said Carter and the 19-year-old had just left a party on the 8800 block of Holly Street when someone drove alongside their car and began shooting. Both were hit and eventually flagged down a police officer several blocks away.

Carter, of Oakland, was taken to the hospital were she was pronounced. The 19-year-old, who police declined to identify, was treated for his injuries.

Homicide Sgt. Tony Jones said police still do not know the motive for the killing and have not made any arrests.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact either the department or Crime Stoppers of Oakland. Up to $15,000 in reward money is being offered to anyone who has information that leads to the arrest of the killer. The homicide is Oakland's 61st for the year. Last year at this time, Oakland had 75 homicides.
