Prosecutors are determining whether charges are warranted against Shawna Marie Bayless and Gary Michael Gallion, who police suspect of having a role in the homicide of John Joseph "Jack" Cone on April 6.
Cone's wife of 29 years, Laurie Jean Cone, 47, told police early last week that she found her husband's lifeless body inside his home and business - D/C Radio and Television - early in the morning on April 3 in the 2100 block of North Sierra Way, after she had a night out with her daughter at a local casino.
By Friday, she'd been arrested and charged with his death. It was days after the Cones' 29th wedding anniversary.
She pleaded not guilty to one count of first-degree murder during arraignment Friday in San Bernardino Superior Court.
It's still unclear what Bayless'and Gallion's alleged role in the slaying was, but police said it will become more clear as the investigation moves forward.
Sheriff's jail logs indicate the pair, Bayless and Gallion, are in custody and scheduled to appear Tuesday in San Bernardino Superior Court.
Police arrested Bayless and Gallion on Wednesday for parole violations at a house in the 5900 block of Arden Avenue in San Bernardino. Bayless was booked into West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga, and Gallion was booked at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino, according to sheriff's online booking records.
Both inmates are not eligible for bail, jail records show.
Cone returns to court Wednesday to confirm the appointment of her attorney. A preliminary hearing was also scheduled for April 18.
