PLEASANTON -- A plan to improve public access to the Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park will be aired at a public meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Veterans Memorial Building, 301 Main St.

The East Bay Regional Park District invites the public to learn about and comment on a proposed land use plan providing a broad vision for managing the 4,712-acre park on the ridges between Dublin and Sunol.

The district proposes building two new staging areas, opening 34 more miles of trails, and providing public access to large park areas that have been in land bank status.
