PLEASANTON -- An Oakland woman is wanted on a felony warrant after failing to appear on charges stemming from a 2010 burglary, when police said she broke into a doctor's office and forged prescriptions.
Rhonda Marie Hauswirth, 33, is suspected of breaking into the Pleasanton doctor's office after hours in March 2010 to write herself prescriptions, Lt. Brian Laurence said. Hauswirth was briefly employed with the office in January 2010, but was fired after the doctor discovered she was phoning in prescriptions for herself.
Hauswirth is wanted on charges of burglary and attempted forgery of a medical prescription, Laurence said.
The warrant was issued for her arrest after she failed to appear for a July 31 court date, according to CrimeStoppers of Southern Alameda County. Crimestoppers is issuing an award of up to $1,000 for information leading to Hauswirth's arrest.
