BERKELEY -- UC Berkeley police are seeking a man who carjacked another man at gunpoint on Friday.

The incident was reported at 7:55 p.m. in the 2500 block of Benvenue Avenue, according to a police log. The victim was waiting for a friend in his 2006 gray door-door Pontiac GTO when the suspect approached and used a gun to order him out of the car.

The victim complied and was not physically hurt. The suspect fled in the Pontiac, but police did not say in which direction.

Police described the suspect as a black male, approximately 30 years old, 5-foot-10 with a muscular build and medium complexion. He was wearing all dark clothing, police said.
