OAKLAND -- Two men were shot in the back or lower torso Monday afternoon in East Oakland, a police spokeswoman said.
The shooting occurred about 4:30 p.m. in the 5400 block of Princeton Street at 55th Avenue, said spokeswoman Officer Johnna Watson.
The names and ages of the victims were not released. Watson said the original report indicated the men were shot in their backs, but later there was word that the wounds could be in the victim's lower torsos, she said.
Their conditions were not immediately available.
Police do not have anyone in custody and a motive in the shooting was not immediately known.
