PLEASANTON -- A 21-year-old Vallejo woman was killed after a car plunged 50 feet down a ravine off Interstate 680 Sunday morning, police said.
A deputy at the Alameda County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Leslie Flores, 21, of Vallejo. Her car veered off the northbound side of the freeway and into the ravine around 7:45 a.m. near the Sunol Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision ejected Flores from the vehicle, resulting in fatal injuries. There was no more information from the CHP about the possible cause of the crash.
The far right lane of northbound I-680 was closed for several hours.
