At the ninth annual Oktoberfest in Clayton, downtown was turned into a mini-Bavaria, with oom-pah-pah music, dancing, and steins of ale in the biergarten. Dressed in traditional dirndl and lederhosen, top left, Mary Reithmudh of Fremont and Lewis Ettlin of Lodi, take a turn at a polka. The Internationals, top right, performed throughout the weekend as revelers enjoyed the entertainment, German food, carnival, parade, crafts and street performers. Marcel Pomerleau of Concord, above left, raises a beer mug in celebration at the ninth annual event held Oct. 6-7.
