UPLAND - Dozens of mourners turned out Sunday to remember one of three men killed in an Ontario neighborhood last month.

Family members and friends filled the Stone Funeral Home on Ninth Street in Upland to remember Brandon Perez, 31, as a loving father, son, grandson and brother.

The Ontario man worked as a paralegal for the past two years in his stepfather, Nolan King's, Upland law office.

The 31-year-old enjoyed outdoor sports including hunting, camping and fishing.

Even after the service started, people kept arriving to pay their respects to Perez's family.

Perez was found shot dead in the home she rented in the 1000 block of Magnolia Avenue. Perez rented the rear home on the property. Two other people were found dead at the location.

Ontario Police detectives arrested two men - Steven Carter, 34, and Michael Hall, 23, both of Upland - in connection to the killings.

Ontario police officers said the deaths stemmed from a botched home invasion robbery.

The incident was likely related to drugs, officials said, as officers took about 20 pounds of marijuana from the house.
