DOWNEY -- Two men who were stabbed and shot to death in an attack outside a restaurant in Downey have been identified.

Isaac Perez, 31, was one of the victims Downey police found suffering from stab and gunshot wounds when they responded to George's Restaurant and Bar in the 7800 block of Florence Avenue about 2 a.m. Sunday, according to Los Angeles County Coroner's Office Assistant Chief Ed Winters.

KCAL9 reported the other man's name as Raymond Contreras, 34, but Winters could not confirm the identification.

Paramedics took both victims to USC Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead, Winters said.

Downey police Lt. Mark McDaniel said the injuries resulted from a fight in the parking lot between the victims and the suspects that spilled out into the street.

The suspects, described only as males, fled west on Florence Avenue in unknown vehicles, he said.
