OAKLAND -- Alameda County is accepting applications from low-income seniors for studio or one-bedroom apartments in the E.E. Cleveland Manor building on Alvington Court in Oakland.

To be eligible, applicants must be at least 62 years old, receive Social Security or SSI and have an annual income less than $31,250. The apartments are equipped with full kitchens, security, maintenance, laundry rooms, free Wi-Fi and a computer lab. The building at 2611 Alvingroom Court offers social activities and a service coordinator. Local transportation is available and utilities are included in the rent.
