PLEASANTON -- A Dublin woman hit and killed while riding her bicycle Sunday afternoon was identified by the Alameda County Coroner's Office on Monday morning.
Police said 58-year-old Diana Hersevoort was riding her bike on Foothill Road about a quarter-mile south of Golden Eagle Way around 1:08 p.m. when a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old Pleasanton man hit her. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hersevoort was riding with her husband, who also was hit, police said. He was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The driver stopped at the scene. Police did not say whether any charges against him were pending and wreck remains under investigation.
