OAKLEY -- Joe Mixon scored five touchdowns in the first 18 minutes of the game as the host Freedom High football team ran away from Castro Valley for a 48-21 on Friday night for its second straight nonleague win.

Mixon, who announced earlier this week that he was taking an official visit to Washington this weekend, finished with 260 yards rushing and six touchdowns, which included returning a punt from Castro Valley (1-4) punt for a score.

Mixon scored on a short run early in the first quarter to give Freedom (2-3) a 7-0 lead and later had scoring runs of 76 and 70 yards as the Falcons took a 35-0 lead at halftime. Mixon finished the first half with 201 yards on the ground.
