MORAGA -- New Saint Mary's College baseball coach Eric Valenzuela has made some major progress in putting together his first recruiting class.

Valenzuela, the former pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at San Diego State who was hired in late July, has received several oral commitments prior to national signing day on Nov. 13. Five of the recruits are from the Bay Area, including three who play in the West Catholic Athletic League.
