Clayton Valley Charter High founder and administrator resigns

Neil McChesney, one of two Clayton Valley High teachers who led the school's conversion to a charter three years ago and subsequently became an administrator on the campus, has resigned effective last Monday. He said his decision was based on new opportunities to work in charter schools. His departure, he said, is unrelated to inquiries by the Contra Costa District Attorney's office and Contra Costa County Office of Education into the school's governance and operations.
