Cal senior Theo Robertson said Tuesday evening that several doctors have checked MRI results of his injured right foot and that he does not have a stress fracture.
"Things are looking up," he said. "It's nothing major."
Robertson missed both games at Madison Square Garden last week and will not face Jacksonville on Tuesday night at Haas Pavilion because of the injury.
He said he still doesn't know the exact nature of the injury. The pain on the top of his right foot is about the same as it was last weekend, and he isn't sure when he'll be ready to play again.
Robertson, a small forward from De La Salle High, is unlikely to be ready by Sunday against Princeton, but it doesn't appear the injury will keep him sidelined long term.
"I'm tired of the injury thing," he said, alluding to surgeries on his hip the past two offseasons.
Robertson was in street clothes, wearing a boot on his foot, while his teammates warmed up for Jacksonville. He averaged 18 points in Cal's first two games.
