Arizona State preview capsule

HEAD COACH: Todd Graham 1st year at ASU, 49-29/six years overall

2011 RECORD: 6-7, 4-5/3rd (tie) in Pac-12 South

KEY PLAYERS: Senior TB Cameron Marshall (Valley Christian-San Jose) is one of the league's most dynamic runners and posted six 100-yard games last season, along with 18 touchdowns ... Senior WR Jamal Miles had 60 catches in 2011 and is the Sun Devils' top perimeter playmaker ... Junior DE Junior Onyeali was suspended during the offseason but should be a dominant force for a defense that desperately needs one.

OVERVIEW: The decision to hire the mercurial Graham (after just one season at Pitt) was yet another head-scratching move for this floundering program, and the new coach will have his work cut out with a rebuilt roster, major questions at quarterback and a tough schedule. ASU should challenge Colorado for the South cellar.
