Andre Broadous threw a career-high three touchdown passes, defensive tackle Barrett Wangara returned an interception 58 yards for a score late in the third quarter, and visiting Cal Poly pulled away to defeat Weber State 45-23 on Friday night.

Broadous completed 6 of 11 passes for 99 yards for the Mustangs (5-0, 3-0 Big Sky). Mike Hoke was 22 of 39 for 291 yards for the Wildcats (0-6, 0-3).

Cal Poly scored 17 points in a 3:58 span late in the third quarter and early in the fourth. Wangara began the spree with his interception return, Bobby Zalud made a 44-yard field goal, and Broadous made it 38-20 with a 34-yard scoring pass to Willie Tucker.

The Mustangs led 14-13 at halftime.

Wake Forest: Coach Jim Grobe suspended six players for Saturday's game at Maryland over a violation of team rules. Merrill Noel, Daniel Mack, Mike Olson, Frank Souza, Deandre Martin and Airyn Willis will be eligible to be reinstated for the Virginia game Oct. 20. Martin is the team's second-leading rusher with 279 yards.
