Glasco Martin ran for three touchdowns, Nick Florence threw for two scores and ran for one, and Baylor overwhelmed UCLA 49-26 in the Holiday Bowl on Thursday night in San Diego.

Lache Seastrunk rushed 16 times for 138 yards and one score for Baylor, which outgained UCLA 494-362. The Bears came in leading the nation in total offense with 387.7 yards per game.

Florence completed 10 of 13 passes for 188 yards, giving him 4,309 for the season to break Robert Griffin III's school season record of 4,293 set in 2011.

Baylor's defense came up big, too. The Bears sacked Brett Hundley six times, including two by Chris McAllister, and shut down UCLA's career rushing leader Johnathan Franklin. Franklin, who averaged 130.8 yards this season, gained 12 yards on his first carry but was a nonfactor after that, finishing with just 34 yards on 14 carries.

Baylor (8-5) won its final four games and five of six. UCLA (9-5) lost its final three.

Hundley was 26 of 50 for 329 yards and three touchdowns to set UCLA's season passing record with 3,740 yards. The old record was 3,470 by Cade McNown in 1998.

Belk Bowl: Brendon Kay threw for 332 yards and a Belk Bowl-record four touchdowns, and Cincinnati (10-3) capitalized on Duke's inept play in the closing minutes to beat the Blue Devils (6-7) 48-34 in Charlotte, N.C.

Duke appeared to have the game in hand and was driving for the go-ahead score -- and its first bowl victory since 1961. But with the game tied at 34 and the Blue Devils positioning themselves for a winning field goal, running back Josh Snead fumbled at the Cincinnati 5-yard line with 1:20 left and Bearcats defensive lineman John Williams recovered.

Kay then connected with tight end Travis Kelce on an 83-yard touchdown strike down the middle with 44 seconds left for the go-ahead score.

USC: Matt Barkley's career at USC is over, a shoulder injury bringing a disappointing end to his record-breaking, four-year run as the Trojans' quarterback.

Coach Lane Kiffin announced that the senior quarterback won't play in Monday's Sun Bowl against Georgia Tech. Instead, redshirt freshman Max Wittek will make his second career start.

"It's a tough day," Barkley said. " ... I've worked as hard as I could to get back for this game, but nature's not allowing it and the doctors aren't allowing it."

Barkley's throwing shoulder was injured during USC's second-to-last game against UCLA, and he didn't play in the season finale against Notre Dame.

Alabama: Center Barrett Jones is still not practicing while recuperating from a sprained foot. Jones wore a black, non-contact jersey during the Crimson Tide's practice indoors ahead of the BCS championship game Jan. 7 against Notre Dame.

Florida: Safety De'Ante Saunders and offensive tackle Matt Patchan are leaving the program, coach Will Muschamp announced.
