MORAGA -- Saint Mary's junior forward Beau Levesque was named the West Coast Conference's men's basketball Player of the Week after leading the Gaels to wins over San Diego and Pepperdine.

Levesque, a Lafayette native who attended De La Salle High, scored a career-high 20 points in a 81-48 win over San Deigo then led the Gaels with 19 points as they beat Pepperdine 84-72. He earned those points on 16-of-21 shooting from the field (76 percent).

He also averaged five rebounds coming off the bench in the two victories. Levesque is the first Saint Mary's player to earn the WCC's weekly honor this season.
